The Iliad and the Odyssey

The Iliad
The Greek epic poem Iliad along with its sequel, the Odyssey, are believed to have been composed during the 8th century B.C. in Ionia, modern Turkey.

Whilst the Iliad is set in the Trojan War, the Odyssey centers on the journey home of the Greek hero Ulysses after the fall of Troy.

Although it is believed both the Iliad and the Odyssey were written by Homer, the poems authorship is disputed.
